Sports Initiative and Fundraising Activity in Bologna for the Niger Delta

In November 2025, Messengers of Peace International promoted an international initiative during the football match between SK Brann and Bologna FC 1909.

The event served as an opportunity to foster international solidarity and cultural exchange, while raising awareness about the developmental challenges affecting communities in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

At the same time, a structured fundraising campaign was conducted at Piazza Maggiore. The initiative aimed to support the maintenance and long-term sustainability of the Ubachima Community Water Borehole Project in the Niger Delta.

Funds were raised through the distribution of the Association's cultural publications and informational materials, along with voluntary contributions from supporters and members of the public.

This initiative reaffirmed the organization's commitment to grassroots development, access to clean and sustainable water resources, and community empowerment, while strengthening international partnerships and cooperation.
